SD card writer

Is there a software prg. out there that would enable me to write to a SD card using my Sony laptop ?.I want to add photo's to the SD card for use in a digital picture frame.

    buy a usb SD card adapter , sometimes in the pound shops ;)

    just drag the pictures over

    sometimes you can put the SD card in the frame , plug the USB cable that comes with the frame into the Laptop , then drag them over to the SD card from "my photos"

    my laptop has a built in sd card reader, can I write to the card with appropriate software ?

    You shouldn't need any additional software. When you insert a card it should appear as another drive, then just drag and drop.

  • If you can reduce the file size first with something like Photoshop Elements sometimes supplied with Sony PCs, digital cameras produce huge files and photo frames only need a much lower resolution and pixel count. This will result in identical image quality, but significantly increase the images you can have on the frame and with Elements you can crop and edit the images to anything you like. If your camera has a lead with mini USB connector at one end that will also fit the PC / photo frame.
