Is it just me or does anyone else have problems loading this game and all the expansion packs?????
Spent most of yesterday trying to load them and nothing works????
Tried to uninstall and go again but now when you reinstall the sims it says wrong version????
Got a very upset daughter waiting on me sorting this!!!!

I think there may be a troubleshooting folder on one of the install discs.
Tat may help to uninstall all the rogue files it leaves when you are unsuccessful with an install first time round.
HAve you checked on the sims website? there is usually a large section for queries and lots of others will have had similar problems.

Vista on Dell laptop i am using???
Tried the EA website and didnt really make much difference!!!0 -
My kids have it on there two computers had no issues but I installed it when each game came out. Sometime the sims 2 gets updated with the extra data pack that comes out.0

I also have this problem trying to install it onto my laptop, which runs on Vista. Works fine on older op systems.Looking forward to the future.0

Configure Exceptions to DEP

you need to add sims2 to the Vista exceptions list as it shows
also try this

set it to XPEx forum ambassador
