Giggle - they look brilliant !

Mine last year were just crushed weetabix in gravy tub that I covered with the reindeer food verse. Did it for little grandson and my son is going to re-fill it this year for him

  • Wow! I go away for four days and come back to pages of beautiful work!

Here is another idea I found on another thread posted by earthmother

Take any old key (large ones do look better than Yale ones though), and a length of ribbon. Tie on a label with a poem along the lines of:

Santa, this old key is a magical kind
And we're leaving it out for you to find
'Cause for you tonight it will open any door
So you wont have to slide down chimneys anymore

You could dip the keys in glitter or gold/silver paint to make them even more magical.

Get all the parents to donate their old keys, and you're only paying for the label and ribbon - a cost of probably less than 15-20p per key, and a very quick thing to put together.

Just returned from a trip into town, still no chocolate coins :( But I found these...oqzi2q.jpg

They are bits of caramel in milk chocolate sprinkled in icing sugar. They are still brown tho and some are in little "clusters" but can easily be broken down smaller.

I've got a couple of bags for my snowman soups. I'm just testing them now in a cup of coffee and they've all dissolved :)

And the best bit is they were in the 99p shop :D

I know i've read this question before, but never found an answer but when is the best time to make snowman soups?

    LMMS

Sorry, have just read the packet and it has nuts in it! Coconut and hazelnut from what I can see in the ingredients.

Most local craft shops, also Hobbycraft or you will be able to get them easily online... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Pack-of-8-small-round-magnets-Ideal-for-Hobby-Craft_W0QQitemZ280379714239QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Crafts_Other_Crafts_EH?hash=item4147eeeabf&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14. I was thinking of getting my pebbles from the front garden! so if they suddenly disappear then I know all my neighbours have seen this post!

Aw they're lovely, so simple and easy too. Reckon you could seal them with clear nail varnish? I'll keep an eye out for flat pebbles when I go to Redcar next. Mary, I was looking at little magnets on eBay before, £1.23 for 25 and free P&P here http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/25-DISC-ROUND-MAGNETS-12x3mm-MAGNETIC-Craft-Fridge_W0QQitemZ130272980343QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Crafts_Other_Crafts_EH?hash=item1e54dfed77&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

I'm now considering making loads of the pumpkin ones and putting them in trick or treat bags... :rotfl: They'd be really cheap to do
