    Hi All

i have finally gotten around to my picture taking for you so here goes.

    Picture022.jpg

This is the diary, paper, ribbon and flowers to decorate the diary for my nan with.

    Picture023.jpg

Brought this photo album and ribbon today to decorate it with and one of the flowers from the diary kit and possibly some purple ribbon too.

    Picture019.jpg
this is the flowers that I plan to use

and this is the infamous cross stitch that has been 15 years in the doing - I'm about 3/4 done now so just going for the final push but found out today that the craft shop I use deals with the framers regularly so I can go through them so wont have to worry about dates to pick it up etc.

Right now hope those pictures worked and arent too big!

greenpixey - Thanks for the idea but I most of the people I know collect their own seeds -just made a load of little seed packets for christmas pressies.
Ooohhhh...............just had three freeebies of nivea post shave balm through the post - can do tea bag holders for those for teenage grandson :T

sammy - your nans diary and stuff will look beautiful..............love the flowers :T
How do you have the patience for that cross stitch ? I'd have given up before now. Managed to do a tea cup for a coaster for MIL's birthday and could manage that sort of size - well done you:T
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

believe me - ive been close

Right peeps I want to pick your brains (not literally)

Have changed my mind about my nans Christmas present. I was going to do her a pamper hamper but I want to do her diary and the photo album for her and was thinking I might try and find a nice plain address book or possibly make one somehow for her and decorate it to the theme I seem to have running (bar the photo album being black - the them seems to be purple, lilac and white) .

Then was hoping a nice Pen, possibly in a slightly bigger box (like the chocolate bar holder posted before - possibly on another thread) along with some nice biscuits and a tea bag holder or two for some fruit teas but all in the same colour theme.

Also thinking I might include a nice writing set that I hope to decorate or stamp myself for her and a tea bag holder but with a book of stamps in instead as she has quite a few penpals

what do you think and any other ideas of what i could include?

sammy - how about a post it note holder in the same colour as the address book -I'm sure whatever you get as long as its all wrapped to co-ordinate it'll look right and she'll love it.
You could make her some notelet cards just using white card covered in pretty lilac paper

    OK so quick question

should I make a post it note holder

    like this
EXAMPLE 1 (below) that the post it notes are inside liek a small book with a pen
    PostItNoteHolder.jpg

    EXAMPLE 2
where the posts get clipped to it - so then they could be replaced when they run out??

Have my favourite but I'll see what everyone else thinks first.

and Thank you for the idea Mary!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have had to put Cgristmas crafting to one side and get stuck in this 100th birthday book I thought you might like to see the box that I made for the book to go in... waiting for the printer ink to arrive so that I can start on the book!
front of the box... colours are not showing up well I used pearls and red rhinestones on the front over

I like the top post it note holder, gonna try and make one myself. Solves a problem of finding some notebooks for family members.

I had some little magnets delivered today so i could add a few for use on the fridge.

That 100th birthday book box is lovely.

irishgirl - what a super box :TYou are clever :T

sammy - just going by personal choice I'd prefer the book type post it note.............but thats just my taste.

I've found a box that had little square notepaper in we had by the phone and its empty................think I'll turn it into a post it note holder and re-cover it.......:j
