I am glad I didn't open one this year.

The thing is, that yes it's the lowest rate of all the 15 odd regular savers I have currently, it depends where you are feeing your regular savers from. I missed out on getting the Egg 6%+ fixed account, my Coventry Esave ends at 6.49% this month, I'm left with my Egg variable at 4.05% and Ing 4.48% till March, but by that time the feeder accounts may well have dropped even further and the 4.45% at Skipton by then may well seem not too bad, so maybe better to hang on in there for a bit.
  • Principality RS issue 5 was available till early Dec @ 7%. Issue 6 now available @ 6%.

Could have had 1 of each and locked in up to £1000pm at average 6.5% until next December ;)

That's the stuff. Plus BarcB @ 7.75% end Nov?
  • I opened one of those Principality 7% RS accounts, and got the opening letter and passbook OK, but no blank form to set up a monthly standing order. Do you know if it will work to set one up online from my bank acc using their sort code, account and the Regular Saver number as a reference? They don't seem to have instructions on their web site.

Yes I have had several of their accounts over the last three years. It's absolutely fine to put your details into Sort Code, their Account No and then your reference number. No problems at all.
