I got myself a picture and cushion for when I decorate my bedroom in the new year, in the Next sale. I've also ordered the John Bishop dvd, Macbeth dvd, Keith Lemon dvd, Hurts cd, Scissor Sisters cd, Bruce Springsteen cds - and I'm hitting the sales later this week. Well, gotta make up for the lack of decent pressies I get from other people!

Our main pressy to our selves was a new TV for our bedroom with built in DVD player and freeview... I just spent all morning watching TV in bed (Brief Encounter on Filmfour). Lovely!

I apologise if this seems critical but surely your OHs (if relevant)should put the effort in buying you presents - it all seems a bit lazy to me and rather sad. I would be devastated if I had to buy my own presents.
I start planning in October and it is amazing what you can get with some thought and spending a bit of cash. I put the effort in because she is worth it and believe that is what I should do. We have got a few days out, trip to Amsterdam through Easyjet (less than £100 for two), Afternoon tea and various other bits and pieces. This year I even branched out and bought some clothing (which was really brave of me!!!!!).
As well as gifts to eachother we treated ourselves to replastering our hall, stairs and landing - how glam is that ??!!Thanks to MSE I cleared £37k of debt in five years and I was lucky enough to meet Martin to thank him personally.0 -
