I saved loads of gift bags from xmas day and yesterday I bought loads of rolls of gift paper non christmassy for 20p a roll and they were 3 for 2. I also bought some fab tree decs that I wanted before but couldnt justify £4 a dec, they were reduced to 20p again 3 for 2
Also got a few pressies half price in Boots, now just need to start a notebook(bought that in woolies)
Oh forgot to say in Matalan I bought 100 cards for £2 that I am going to cut the robin out of the middle to make gift tags and then I can use all th envelopes for my homemade christmas cards.
Now my only question is would it be mad if I wrapped all of next years pressies today??£23366/ £39206.92 DFD Nov 20160 -
I'll put this simply.

Ha ha...but just think of how much fun Christmas will be when you can't remember what everything is!!! (I speak from experience wrapped everything at begining of Dec, and then couldn't remember what half of them where!)0

I found it really stressful and last minute this year and vowed to get ahead for next year so far:
Got all my cards and xmas paper ( in the sales)
i will use this years cards for gift labels
Went to boots and bought loads of half price gifts.
Came home, wrote my notebook,
decided who was having what and put them away in a carrier bag with a small label saying who they are for ( i will just need to wrap at xms)
updated my notebook with what i had bought
sorted :j0 -
Thats what I did last year, well apart from writing down who was getting what. Cant do it this year though as oh doesnt want me buying anything else until he gets the loft cleared out.0

Hi,
THANK YOU ALL for making me get off my backside and thinking about next Christmas first time ever!! I have:
- cut up the Christmas cards and made tags
- got enough cards and wrapping paper for next year
- started planning years birthday presents through sale stuff (going to shops on Tues)
- am ebaying/recycling anything that's not neededJUST DO IT ONE BRICK AT A TIMEPROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBTSWeekly Budget: groceries£50/petrol£50/Unnecesary£15DEBT PAID = 58% (£4,212/£8216):T0 -
I have bought my cards - I was really fussy and checked out what was available - ended up in the co-op as I figured they were best value.
Have no paper yet - but I am looking - I know it will get even cheaper if I can be patient.
Have bought bath bomb sets for my two (stocking fillers really) but I HAVE wrapped them (in case anyone tries peeping). They are labelled with the recipient's name and there is a number - this refers to my spreadsheet where I keep a record of gift and who I give to so that I know what they are!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
