  • I have bought next years christmas cards half price in sainsburys. And have 2 gifts bought too.

  • Saved lots of lovely gift bags, put several bottles of unwanted alcohol to one side to recycle as gifts throughout year, will cut up some of cards for tags. and have just bought 12 xmas gifts and 2 birthday gifts in boots sale using giftcard I was given for xmas.
Still got enough cellophane, cards and wrapping paper from last year too.:D

sophiesmum, should've guessed you'd be here already!

I too have collected gift bags, got spare cards into my present chest for gift tags, and will shortly be starting to write lists of potential presents.

I keep a book and write a list each year so know what I have done. I use my dd's as inspiration for what is in fashion. Knitting is all the rage at the moment so wii be knitting alongside other projects all year
Have sock monkeys to make with safety eyes for the little ones
Am making card boxes with cards, bags, labels, chabby chic heart labels etc etc inside
    Ideas so far
Try and do a good deed every day.
  • Oh good for you!

I've decided to start getting ready too! After all the stress this Christmas I've decided that next year will be different and I'm going to start now already getting things organised.:j

    Good Luck getting everything sorted!

    Great thread
Don't forget to check out the gifty thrifty thread as it covers Christmas as well as giving tips to be money neutral.

I have bought a notebook (well recycled one from my daughter!) and I am writing down all the presents etc for birthdays and Christmas for 2009 and will write in things as I get them and not buy things just cos they are a bargain! Will check through everything in the present cupboard first!

Also want to make more homemade bits especailly cards so need to get making a bit earlier as I have unmade things from this year!!

I bought our cards for next year yesterday in the Boots sale and a few half price gifts too. After reading this thread am going to keep any cards sent to us this year that I can use for tags/make new cards from - thanks for the tip, never done that before :T
