Drive assist / broker assistance/ credit repair/ credit hiring

Options
Someone reversed into my car while it was parked outside my house. I have got the person's details, and reported it to my insurance company.

I have now been contacted by an "affiliated" company who says they are going to deal with things, offer me a courtesy car, and recover the costs of repairing the vehicle from the insurance of the 3rd party.

They talked about a process called "credit hiring" or "credit repair". I have now pricked up my ears as anything with the word "credit" is bound to be dodgy.

Does anyone know if this is normal procedure, and if it might cost me anything? I asked, and they said it wouldn't cost me anything.

Thanks for any help, sbh

Hi - Drive Assist are a well established company in the credit hire/repair business. They get paid direct by the other guys insurance company. They will ok your repair/hire once they get an admission of liability from the other insurance company so you can rest easy about having to pay anything yourself.Any further queries post again.

  • Thanks for the reassurance. I was a bit paranoid I guess, but thoughts were racing in my mind that one is particularly vulnerable after a car accident and it would be the right moment for an opportunist company to make people get into agreements they don't fully understand.
