Swoopo auction site

Options
I was curious about these cheap auction sites after some people want them classed as gambling.Probably been said before but rip off in my opinion. I made two bids on an item against a number of other bidders and it was won with the very next bid after my second bid.Coincidence? Made it look as if i nearly won.You pay 40p for each bid with swoopo regardless of whether you win or lose. Last night the live auction part of their 5 sites in Europe and America crashed but the rest of the site worked as normal. It would still take your money for bids while not working and more bids were being placed and accepted while the site was down than normal.Normally it seems 8 - 16 auctions are won every hour in the UK 24 hours a day but in the first hour after crashing 27 were won.It seems to be like a multi player fruit machine that lets someone win an item as soon as enough 40p bids have been placed across all the auction items and you are playing against the computer. It is therefore possible for you to win a £2000 item for 40p but the other extreme was a £950 laptop going for £200.Problem was the person made nearly 4000 bids costing £1500. Some bargain! Total bids meant swoopo collected over £8000! Nice. Avoid!
