I have used fresh face masks after the date, but be cautious. I used Crash Course a couple of weeks out of date and it really irritated my skin.
When I buy a pot I usually give a bit to a friend or my mum, as I never seem to get through it in time. They are still good value though, and fantastic for your skin.

I read on the Lush site that if the face mask is out of date, you can still use it on other parts of your body- ie your feet? elbows? knees? obviously within reason, I mean, don't go using a face mask thats 12 months out of date !! but a week or two would be ok, surely?

Am i right in thinking that Lush used to be Cosmetics To Go, they went bust , then started up again under the name Lush?

Yup thats what happened. Cosmetics to go were a mail order company. Mark Constintine invented some of the products for body shop, such as body butters. their agreement meant couldnt have a shop, mail order was the loop hole. They marketed thier products to mums leavin hospital, it flopped cuz they don't have time to pamper themselves! It went bust but they had no debts. Mark and body shop went sep ways for ethical reasons, i believe.They started Lush using what they had and the local market, the queen of hearts soap was made in a barbie lunch box as a mould and banana moon was made in a bit of pipe.

All this may not be exact but I think thats what happened!

Face masks keep for 3 weeks from date made, you can use them every other day, guideline is 6 treatments per pot. If you dont have time for a mask you can use a blob as face wash. Cupcake is really good on the body, esp back I find. So is brazened honey

I got a £70 hat box, 40 hat box and 32 hat box free in store with this offer, my whole house smells!

thanks for all the face mask advice!! maybe I wont buy them all at once next time!
Am going to put it in the freezer and stick to 1 until thats finished!

Must reccommend Aqua Marina face wash, seems to be clearing my skin nicely, even if it does smell of fish!!

Can you use it on your face, it seems to dry mine out.
