Hi, I am just wondering if anyone can help me understand what all the fuss was with the hat boxes, as there are a few on some of the London stores I have visited. I wondered if they were free or something, but the SA said as they were made after the 1st Dec they were at full price/not free/not in any sale. I got myself a free "Christmas Parcel" insted, am planning on staying in all night with my lush stuff and ignoring the fact its NYE!

    Have I missed something here?

The hat box value is £99, if they were made before the 1st dec then you can choose one as your free gift (instore) you have to get there when the sale starts as they go so quick, obviously the value of the box contents is what makes it a bargain, hence the fuss over them. HTH

But thats the thing Mookie, the boxes that were £99 were all made after 1st december, atleast thats what the Picadilly store told me! They do look lush (pun not intended!) would have loved one- even though I do not actually own a bath!

I think the ones made before the 1st dec go within minutes of the store opening on sale day one member here said some woman in front of them in the queue when she went grabbed 12! talk about greedy they should limit them to max of 2 per customer. Any left in store now were most likely made after 1st dec so are excluded.

How sad are we sitting here on NYE discussing Lush products. :rotfl: I'm stuck in with that awful chest infection thats doing the rounds :(

i know quite sad :( consoling myself that all my friends are broke so are also prentending its just another night!

i heard about some people gettin 7 of the large hatboxes including the legends one  shame as it then means other people in queue dont get an equal change, and i doubt they could actaully use that much lush stuff! best box i got was 12 days of christmas and a stardust, both of which are fab!

please bring back grab bags :D

  • Evening to fellow lush night inners! I have decided to stay in with the twins this year. The past few years when I have been out on NYE, it's been carp. Music so loud yer teeth rattle, overpriced booze and having to kiss and cuddle drunken people you would give the time of day the rest of the year:rolleyes:.

Got a bubbly bath, loads of candles and a bottle of bubbly...bliss
Twins, twice the laughs, twice the fun, twice the mess!:j:j

Had a great new years eve- in the bath, face mask on ("a crash course...") and ballista (purple with stars, "spellbound"?). Much better then freezing outside at Trafalgar square for several hours, then waiting a cuple more for a bus home + long walk. (Taxis don't "do" South of the River!).

Happy New Years to anyone with more sense then to catch a cold to see the next few days back at work in with!
  • A Happy New Year and all the best to 2009 to all us lush ladies!!
