Have you ever tried to talk to BOL?

I am trying to return a book to BOL. I filled in the corresponding link in their site, asking them how to go about it (usually they pìck it up or send a return label). They got in touch via my email, asking for my credit card details to return the money (?). I said I had never been asked that question and that FIRST I had to return the book. Their last answer was "The books have now been credited back to your account and in order to refund you the amount which you paid we do need your card details"..... (????)
I have now written again directly from the site and had an automathic response with a different query Nº!!! Of course, they suggest to call them, but it is a 0870 Nº and the alternative geographical Nº found in "say no to..." does not work....
Every time I have tried to interact with these people I get the impression either I am dealing with a machine or they are brainless...

Sounds like you are having big problems with them. I have had no problems with them when I have used them, saying that I have had excellent service with delivery and with the only return that I did was processed quick aswell.

i agree, not impressed with BOL. ordered 3 books before xmas, 2 were ok but the third was one i hadnt ordered. i emailed them expecting them to apologise and to send me the one that i should have received. instead began a series of useless emails, they cannot replace or refund until i send the wrong book back, they havnt even apologised for their error !!! to cut a long story short i have kept the incorrect book because i couldnt be bothered with all the hassle. i will not be using them again.0
