i actually sent you the PM to wish you all the best but obviously you just wanted the attention of being able to say some something like the above publicly, your fans must be impressed. i also said it would be best to keep me on Ignore then there would not be any further issues.

as for sending something under another username; no need i can say everything i need to say under this one. as i said before please don't flatter yourself, you know you're not that special especially with your professional background.

sensitive on a forum - i don't think so chief.
it's not the real world - did you not know that or is it here that people come to impress others when they haven't been successful professionally?

    all the best

If you have something nice to say to me, feel free to say it here. You feel free to insult me publicly after all!

I'm not sure why you keep refering to my professional 'failure'. I've not failed at anything professionally let alone the repeated failure you keep accusing me of.

We've already gone through the thing about how you have no idea who I am but allude to knowing who I am as if that's some sort of threat. You know, hat Goldmans thing when you said I'd worked on Fleet Street but I hadn't so in reality you have no idea whether I'm a cleaner in McDonalds in Rekyavik or a butcher in Helsinki.

Thanks Gen but accusing someone of being an amateur troll, calling them an idiot and then saying that I would be sending you anonymous messages are probably insults.

I’m going to leave this here - I’ve sent you a PM (twice) if you want to discuss things privately lets do it otherwise getting you attention publicly isn't for me. I’ll add you to Ignore to make that easier.

I enjoyed my brief time at GS, loved crossing the footbridge to other building.

Again... All the best in the future.

Much sympathy Sue! I think I would have chickened out and stayed home for boxing day to give poor Joe a rest (and yourself!) but wish you luck, and hope Joe manages to survive what must be quite stressful for him.

The noises and flappy movements must be really hard to deal with when you are tired, it is difficult enough when any kid keeps making repetitive noises or hopping around, but at least telling them to stop can usually get you some break from it (even if they often start up again:D ). There is a little autistic lad at my sons school, and he is so adorably cute but extremely hard work even at 6, so I can only assume that it is harder still with a bigger lad.

Good luck for tomorrow (which is probably today now) and for the New Year.

Thanks for that moggylover..peace reigns at the moment in my house as two of the boys are in the front room (one watching TV and one putting his lego together), the other one has still not risen from his pit :rotfl:

It can be stressful dealing with an autistic child (I have two of the boogers), especially for people like my dad..he had both me and my mum on his case yesterday as he kept making little comments which only wound Joe up even more and because Joe is so overstressed (Josh had his stressed time in the run up to Christmas), we are now not going to the pantomime as planned today...me and Joe would only spend all the time outside the theatre anyway, so pretty much a waste of money.

Joe also has the angelic look which draws people in and then the monster Joe is released as they have got too close :rotfl:

The feeling of wanting to chicken out today is very strong (especially as my sister does her looking down her nose and snorting in disgust thing) but I have never been a shrinking violet and he needs to learn that social contact is normal (to most of us) and to learn to deal with it otherwise I would only be making a rod for my own back in years to come with him being unable to cope in the world at large.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Thank you for your good wishes. I've not received your PMs. I have no idea why so perhaps you can take that up with the mods if you feel the message is ugent or important.

I'm very sorry for being insulting. This is a hard time of year for me and I'm quite homesick. I don't want an enemy.

I always wondered what the score was at the end of the game.

Got a nasty load of sunburn today despite using sun block as we were out on the water. It's not right at Christmas. Christmas is cold and wet and the weather is !!!!!! in a proper place.

The score was peace 1 - war 0. Sorry, that's a bit trite / sentimental. But reading the Wiki entry makes me feel that not many other things can more demonstrate the true spirit of Xmas. And I say that as a cynical atheist.

I was tempted at looking at your message and am glad that I did.

I'm not bothered about the PMs - I think that we should keep each other on Ignore for the time being :)

As for feeling homesick - it's just normal You would expect no less!! You have your family and wife who are there for you, these are the important things in life. Your decision was a massive one but there are many people who would be very envious of you.

Manly is my favourite beach. Dinner by the harbour opposite the Opera House is one of my favourites too, the sea food is exceptional. Melbourne is a great city for a break - has lovely beaches and is a city without the hustle bustle of Sydney and very chilled. Sydney is much more of a city and is a great place to live.

I guessed it was a difficult time of year and my thoughts are with you and your father.

All the best and let's keep away from each other for a while. :)
    Happy New Year!!

    Happy New Year!!

We went a wee bit further north than Manly but it was the Northern Beaches rather than the North Shore. It's a fantastic part of the world. Really amazing.

Thank you for your kind words. This is a hard time of year for me and what you say means a lot to me.

Best of luck for the New Year. Perhaps we can just agree to disagree now!

i never got that far but had a great time in the few times that i visited.
it was in Australia where i had to learn to respect the sea - it's a powerfull beast (not as strong as Mewbie though)!! :)

the massive positive that you have now and would negate any homesickness is seeing your wife and children enjoying themselves. when would your kids be able to be in their current environment? as you know this is what fills you most with joy.

i think we can agree on lots of things :)

take it easy Gen - enjoy yourself :)
