Can an Xbox 360 Arcade be exactly the same as an Xbox 360 Elite?

Recently my Xbox 360 Elite RROD'd and i opened it up before i found out there was a 3 year extended warranty. I was wondering if i was to buy an Arcade console and put my Elite's hard drive and HD cable onto it, would it in affect be exactly the same as my Elite, bar the colour?

I'm no expert but I'd say yes since the only differences between the arcade and the elite is the hdmi cable, hard drive size and the colour"a workman, even of the lowest and poorest order, if he is frugal and industrious, may enjoy a greater share of the necessaries and conveniences of life than it is possible for any savage to acquire."0

Just to let anyone who is in the same situation know, the answer to my original question is YES! I bought the Arcade and put my Elite's wire and hard drive in and it is exactly the same. I'm so glad i've got it back i had pure Xbox cravings haha!
