ok they have said the tv is out of stock and we will have to order another???
which is 300.00 more:(0 -
Probably better off sending it back for a full refund as these clowns don't deserve any money from you. If there is one company that I would like to see go bust in the credit crunch it is these clowns.0

Littlewoods are within their rights to offer a refund - it's up to them under the SOGA.
I had this problem with them recently over a Sony laptop - they had mispriced it and many of us got these very cheap. Mine was DOA and they wanted to refund me and I had to order another one - they had corrected the misprice by then!
They backed down in the end and they exchanged the laptop at the original price, although they did have to charge me again and refund when the original one was returned.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -

To the OP - what is the model number? It may well be less elsewhere in the Sales starting today!British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0

You probably will have.
I bought an Ipod from them last month and paid by debit card - I did not consent to opening an account or a credit search. They credit searched me (which I only found out because of my free Equifax credit alert thingy with Capital One).
When I queried it they said it was 'standard practise'. After some to'ing and fro'ing of emails I have managed to get my 'account' closed and credit search deleted.
I won't be using them again - they're a bunch of cowboys.
........
I will double check this then - they did assure me that they hadn't opened a credit account for me and that they hadn't done a credit search - will not be happy if they have
thankyou

LOL I've had the same prob with the same tv with the same company. I've got a grey patch in the corner. Engineer came out and said it couldn't be fixed. Littlewoods said "send it back and we'll refund you because no more in stock". I'm not going to get another TV for £378 which they sold me this for !!!! I can get a replacement but pay the difference of about £300 lol. I'm at a stalemate with them because last time i spoke to someone in the returns i was seriously losing my temper. So gonna ring back again after xmas.....
But it would be good to see how this turns out.
Btw i did ask them "were they selling off faulty goods so we would have to send them back and buy higher priced products?"0 -
Whenever I have bought from a catalogue company and paid by credit or debit card they have ALWAYS credit checked me and set up a credit account. Despite never having asked for this it appears to be standard practice in that industry.I will double check this then - they did assure me that they hadn't opened a credit account for me and that they hadn't done a credit search - will not be happy if they haveYou don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0 -
