MP5 battery issue (tianShun Mp5)

I have just bought a new MP5 player, the TianShun TS2716 MP5 player, with a supposedly 11 hour batt charge.
Its a n ice little player except the battery lasts 20 mins on full charge, takes 4-5 hours to charge and only gives out 20 mins again, which is no use for a movie.

It says the batt is removable, but it means opening the system up, which may affect the warranty, Is it possible to upgrade a batt, for one that lasts longer than the existing (useless) batt?

If its in warranty and the battery life is no where near the stated period then take it back as faulty/ not fit for purpose.

Another option, if it's too inconvenient to return it for replacement would be one of the generic external "battery extenders", which typically have 4 or 6 AA cells, and should extend play time a lot without being too big to carry about.

Mind you, if the internal battery really is in a bad way, you may find that it simply drains the external battery too quickly...

I didn't realise there was an option like that ...cheers.

I was thinking of complete batt replacement, As previously stated the product isn't fit for purpose, but having read the reviews (typically after buying it), the batt is a common issue problem with it, so I am thinking of a more long lasting internal battery, if indeed it is possible to find one that "lasts" at least more than 2 hours
