Colgate Toothpaste Recall
Comments
-
Poundland Customer Services state that "there is no recall affecting their Colgate toothpaste" which isn't exactly answering the question I asked "is your Colgate toothpaste genuine".
I suspect that places like Poundland depend on a lot of "grey imports" and the like - as the packaging often has strange languages on it - and that the chances of them getting something non-genuine must be all the greater as a result.0 -
You can smell straight away that they aren't toothpaste - a sort of deepheat/germoline smell, without even opening the packet. Don't think I'd have put it in my mouth having smelt it! Definitely NOT minty!0

Hiya, My first ever post so here goes...
The price of the poundland tubes is very good but depending on your area you will need to check the Flouride amount in the cheap versions. they are normally only 1100 and where i live for example we are recomended to use 1400 or above due to our local water type. It should be written on but is always really small. Hope this helps some one.0 -

Welcome! Thanks for your post. There is a pleasure in the pathless woods, There is a rapture on the lonely shore, There is society, where none intrudes, By the deep sea, and music in its roar: I love not man the less, but Nature more...0 -
This explains the radically different flavour of my most recent purchase ! I bought 3 tubes at Sainsbury's, Taunton (Hankridge) in late December. They're stamped on the end with batch number 8037PL1115 which matches that quoted on a Jersey government website as fake. The flavour reminded me of Euthymol which I tried years ago, and the ingredients list is slightly different to another tube of the "cavity protection" paste, so I took that to be the explanation. Yuk. I'll take them back.0
