Tax credits not in account today

i stopped working and last week i got child tax credits back (wtc was stop'd) and an award form saying weekly amounts from 18th dec every thursday

alas today nothing in my account

any ideas? tried ringing but getting nowhere not even sure there open today with it being xmas eve

The helpline should be open today and able to advise when you should receive your payments. However I'm not sure if any HMRC enquiry centres are open in your neck of the woods for the issue of a hardship payment. If they are you would need to get down quick because the Post Office is probably closing half day so you wouldn't be able to cash a giro after lunchtime.

I know the enquiry centres are definitely not open in Northern Ireland.

thank you, have tried ringing but phone just rings out thankfully i dont ot desperatly need it , just wonderd why its not there

off son to dads for xmas so will just play a waiting game i guess for it

ok panic over for some reason it was sent in form of a giro whih wasnt expected as all my payments useally go into bank
