Thank You Royal Mail !! Thanks Posty !!

I've changed job this year, we've moved house & had a new baby. Our new rural location means we're having to order more items online than ever before. We've relied so much on the Royal Mail & our postman this year, like you wouldn't believe.

And out of the all the letters & parcels we were expecting, the only thing to have disappeared in the system was a £2.99 dvd from HMV (which they replaced immediately).

So I'd like to thank the Royal Mail & its employees (and especially our bicycling postman, Bill) for all their hard work this year. Our family appreciates the work you do very much & we hope you all enjoy a well earned break over Christmas :T

Indeed, it's a bit of a thankless job because you get the stick if something is late or goes missing yet no thanks when the vast majority of post is delivered correctly and on time.

Our postmen at all our addresses have always been helpful and friendly, the only let down has been a driver who claims to knock but just puts a card through the door... did it again today and on colelcting the item from the depot, there was a queue of people all saying the exact same thing... they were in and he never knocked! The majority of the staff I've come across though work hard and do well IMO.
After posting about receiving an email to my MSE username/email from 'Money Expert' (note the use of ' '), I am now unable to post on MSE. Such is life.

I use to love my old postie, he use to bang the door down if he had to deliver parcels in the morning because he knew i was asleep :D but he then disappeared!
