You don't need to wait 10 years for a change of use to be ultra vires if it is a change of use to residential. Residential is only four years.
But Debt-free-chick says in post 79
Not if you build on agricultural land. You need 10 years of continuous uninterrupted residential use. Four years is simply for development, not for change of use.

It was there this morning:D
BUT...........
I did notice a big yellow plant machinery type thing in their garden:eek:
But their garden has work type sheds & buildings all around it, so its probably something to do with that.0 -

You will have a long wait i bet.
Eventually a big yellow thing with a police escort will arrive and start munching at the building. At least that is how it happens round where I live.
Makes you feel you are living in a police state.0 -

Thats it, if you showed the road as well, you would see it is actually not that easy to see from the road & them things that look like giant urns block the view.

RLH33 was right. It only needs 4 years.
I would love to chat to someone who has done it.
How difficult is it? Im wondering if I will have any problems like mr Fidler?
The difference is I got permission to build offices now after 4 years I want to prove resedence and get change of use.
I wouldnt mind hiring a specialist to help can anyone recomend one?0 -
You take a picture of yourself and the family doing domestic things, perhaps with one of you ostentatiously reading today's newspaper.
You package up the paper and photo with ostentatious seals and send it to yourself by registered post. Getting proof of delivery.
When push comes to shove, you open the package in court.
That is not absolute but it helps.
Back up witnesses of absolute probity also help (ie a second hand car dealer with convictions for fraud would be counter productive).0
