Carpet Right scam??

I bought carpets from Carpet Right in Nottingham last May, all paid for and fitted.Last week I got my bank statement and they had taken a further £700 from my account at the beginning of december, I phoned them and they spun me some line about Streamline putting all the debit card slips through again in error and assured me it would be back in my account by the following day, that was a week and many phone calls later, they keep promising next day, but it's just not happening. I've informed my bank who say it could take up to 3 months, I've also heard that Carpet Right are heading for bankruptcy, which has panicked me further!! Anyone had any similiar experiences with them or can offer any advice, I really can't afford to lose that much money, thinking of setting up camp in there shop if all else fails till they refund my money, and how come they've still got all my details??

I take it you paid by debit card. I would get back on to the back and ask them to treat it as an attempt at fraud - I think you will get your money back from the bank, but obviously you wnat this resolved as quickly as possible.

Your bank should refund this, but anything like this pay by credit card, better protection.
My suggestion and/or advice is my own and it is up to you if you follow it, please check the advice given before acting on it.
