Hi
My friend wants to buy a cheap but good sounding surround sound system that he can connect to the TV to use with his XBox. He does not want it through a head phone connection but through the component audio inputs on the TV. Anyone have any ideas please what would be suitable at a good price? Many thanks mags

Cheap and good very rarely go together.
What does she or he consider a “good” price?
Richer Sounds linked above are usually very good value for money.0 -
people will dispute this but i think you can get a good sounding home cinema system for between £200-£300. go for sony or panasonic or maybe samsung. they are all likely to have an optical in for sound from other sources such as sky+ or a games console.0

Review of the Yamaha I linked to above http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews107353.html - nothing to complain about in the sound quality dept at this price.0
