I placed an order with them in a rush early last week and stupidly forgot to amend my delivery address from my old work address. I noticed on Thursday, phoned them in a panic, and was advised that it was out for delivery and I should call back in the next few days to see what had happened.

I've been working long, anti-social shifts and only got around to phoning on my day off (yesterday) and was then advised that it would be sent to me but probably would arrive in the first week in January. A bit gutted, as Xmas prezzies, but thanked them all the same.

The parcel arrived today, marked express delivery. Brilliant service! :T

The Book People is wonderful! I've used them loads of times over the years and never had a problem. In fact in my last order there was a very slightly damaged book (the plastic wrapping around all the books was stuck to it and tore the cover slightly). If it had been for me I wouldn't have bothered complaining but it was a Christmas gift and when I called I was told to keep the damaged one and they'd send a replacement - and that arrived the following day!
