Hello,
I have booked to stay in Lucern in late August. I am keen to explore Switzerland as much as possible and will have a card to get half price public transport. If anyone can suggest particularly scenic places to visit for days (max 3 hours on train) I would be very grateful.

just a stone's throw from Luzern is Rigi, you can take the fenicular railway up one side and then come down the other and take the boat on the lake back to Luzern.
Also wonderful to see is the region around Interlaken, again not too far with the train. Berne as the capital probably deserves a visit and my wife would insist you take in the Swiss-Italian region of Ticino.
With mountains and walks together with water-based activities, you could have a ball....so what really are your interests?In the United Kingdom 200,000 people are bitten by dogs every year and some people will die as a result. Of those bitten, 70% are children... So the question has to be asked....... Has the time come to ban children?0
