Hey everyone, there's a few good valentine's day ideas at http://www.foodloversbritain.com/FoodMatters/This-Month/Valentines-Day-2009/. I personally like the personalised heart/brownies and the heart shaped cheddar!
Cheers,

I'm stuck for ideas, my fella doesn't eat sweets or cakes so homemade cookies and chocs is out the window, I did him a chili bowl for christmas so would like to do something other than food but I am clean out of ideas!
oh I did have one thought- making an exploding box of photos- http://glitteradventure.blogspot.com/search?q=exploding+box
Any other inspired people out there?0 -
Ooh good thread.
I've just made my first 'proper' handmade card for other half for Valentines day.
Just got myself a heat gun and embossing powders, so I was playing with those on this card. Hope he likes it!0 -
I'm going to have a go at making a Valentine's cookie bouquet in a vase for my husband. I was searching t'internet for ideas yesterday and came across an American site selling ones which looked like this :

which I thought looked fab.
I have just ordered some ruby red cellophane bags from eBay, and already have a heart-shaped cookie cutter. I still need to source some of the lollipop sticks (they had some on eBay but I'm sure I can get some cheaper ones in town).0 -
Have you seen Rusty's pot of love over on the Finished Baskets thread? It's fab :T. I'm sort of copying/stealing her idea but I've bought a plastic heart shaped mini dish/plate from Papermania (£2  not MSE but cute!) and going to use that as my 'pot' and fill with love heart sweets (4 tubes for 35p in Home Bargains) and a couple of Love Bug scratch cards.
Was in John Lewis today and saw this...

You could easily do something very similar with a normal bean/seed for a fraction of the cost.
Also you could make your own version of this too...

I did get tempted and bought this chocolate dipping set... http://www.kshocolat.co.uk/index.php/products/gift-sets/kshocolat-dipping-kit.html. £4.75 (I think) in JL. If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

Love the idea of an exploding box! I was thinking of having a go at a mini tag book with quotes about love or something... haven't thought it through yet:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Hi All
Just thought I'd jump on the "Valentines Bandwagon" as my partner and I are celebrating our 10th anniversary together this Valentines Day and I want it to be a special one. (Meal suggestions especially along with anything else please?)
Allready looked at exploding box link (Look amazing they do!!).
Thanks in advance ladys and gentlemen.
Regards
