Just ordered some brake parts for the car from http://www.brakeparts.co.uk
After ordering I was taken to their homepage. I clicked on 'Delivery Times & Charges' to see which hours their deliveries took place over Christmas. When I typed in my postcode it came up:
£6 business (ex VAT) £7.50 residential (ex VAT)
Is there any reason residential deliveries should be charged extra?

Basically businesses pay the vat exempt price (and it's worked out in the yearly accounts), we as consumers pay the prince including vat as delivery is a "service" and thus vatable.0

just checked and that's correct.
is it possible that generally trade costs are lower, ordering consists of more parts, which means they can offer lower prices?Remember the time he ate my goldfish? And you lied and said I never had goldfish. Then why did I have the bowl Bart? Why did I have the bowl?0
