Jessops COMPLETE lack of customer service

So, I ordered a lens and some bits for my camera from Jessops online, comes to about £80 on my tesco credit card.
I specifically requested it be sent to my girlfriends work address in London - This is the important bit, as I knew i'd not be in to receive it.
Anyway, they have sent it to her work address but with my name on it, not what I requested in the online ordering process.
Of course, I don't work there so they have never heard of me. It has apparently been signed for by someone no one has ever heard of. I have contacted Jessops twice now, the first guy I spoke to was polite and admitted they'd senit with the wrong name on, ie misaddressed and said they would contact me, so far to date, no phone call. I also have the proof that I gave them the correct address as it shows it on the online account when I log in.
I rang back this morning and the chavvy woman on the end of the phone didn't want to know as it had been signed for and just told me to get in touch with the address it had been delivered to.
So, where do I stand and what are my legal rights, particularly under section 75 as I, the paying customer, have never received the goods for which I have been charged ?

Contact your credit card company and tell them that you have not had the goods that have been paid for. Jessops could well be one of the next high street chains to go bust! Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

The company I work for would refuse delivery of the item if it was personal and did not have the appropriate in house purchase order as well. In this situation, I feel that Jessops have delivered the item to the correct address. The Goods department of your GF work are only 'agents' and we know what that means in the old football pools day.0

Just a tip for detailing with employees on the phone particularly in companies that are having money problems - ask for the name of the employee (and how to spell it at the beginning of the telephone call) that way if they are not pleasant you can then contact the company again and report them.
Secondly if your gf knows that you were suppose to be sent a parcel and it's in her workplace then she should contact the post people at work and ask them what has happened to the parcel, and how can she prove it's for her.
The places I have work that accept personal parcels (and lots of them where just textbooks staff ordered themselves for themselves for work) have a post room and a book that you sign to collect the parcel so nothing goes missing.I'm not cynical I'm realistic
(If a link I give opens pop ups I won't know I don't use windows)0 -
I would get your girlfriend to have a site email sent out asking who signed for her parcel in the name of <your name>, and could whoever has it please put it on her desk.
They have delivered to the correct address at least...Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
