ZOOPLUS - Ceiling High Scratching Posts - Any owners on here?

Hi, I am looking at upgrading my cat's scratching post to a ceiling high model. I had planned to get it from Mczoo but they closed their UK website and now only operate on the continent. Mczoo used to do a photo of each post with a member of staff next to it which really helped visualise how big it actually was.

So I'm looking at Zooplus or possibly Albany Pets (not sure about their quality).

I am interested in
the Benissa
http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/cats/scratching_posts/ceiling_scratching_trees/13184

Or a Zeus
http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/cats/scratching_posts/ceiling_scratching_trees/15131

Or a Zaragoza
http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/cats/scratching_posts/ceiling_scratching_trees/14046

Has anyone bought any of these models (or any other ceiling high model) and do you have a pic you are willing to post of it preferably with a human standing next to it.

If you are shy or wish to be anonymous I don't mind if you put a bag on you and/or your cats heads for privacy. I just want to get a sense of size.

I haven't bought a ceiling high ( as mine are too tall for them!) but I do have one from albany pets which is very very sturdy - I have two adult cats ( one is a maine coon, so not small!) and now a new kitten and we've had it for about a year without damage.

    We have this one

I would say that the base on this is a good size - my cats have not been able to tip or even move it in the slightest. I've had scratchposts with smaller bases and they tended to tip when the cats jumped on them! Height wise, I don't have a pic but I'm 5'6 and when my cat sits on the top perch she is slightly higher than me.

Sorry I can't advise about ceiling high specifically but thought i'd let you know the quality/sturdiness of ours has been fine.

lilibeth, i was just looking at zooplus ( looking for a second scratcher myself) and if you enter the code happy-xmas you get 20% off.
  • I have the same cat tree scotsgirl has - I ended up getting mine for £30 plus £10 postage from Ebay as the green apparently isn't a very popular colour and they were selling them off. I can highly recommend the seller in that link and the tree is good quality. My kitten adores it :D
As for height - I'm 5'4" and my kitten can eat the hair on the top of my head when she's on the top.

I bought one last year for my kitties for their Christmas present. It's 8' tall (the specific one isn't on their ebay shop though) and we have 3 cats. 2 of the 3 cats are quite big cats (bigger than the average domesticated cat) and the 3 of them jump and play on it all of the time, all together.

The only thing that's bad about it is that it's hard to clean the higher tiers because they're so high! lol

Their cusstomer service is good too, we had a little issue but it was quickly resolved (there was a mix up with the deliveries, so only one box got sent, but the second box arrived the following day). The lint rollers are pants though.
If my typing is pants or I seem partcuarly blunt, please excuse me, it physically hurts to type. :wall: If I seem a bit random and don't make a lot of sense, it may have something to do with the voice recognition software that I'm using!

Ooh - just missedthis! tried to enter it today and it expired yesterday!! I might hold off buying a scratch tree (me too) and wait and see if another coupon comes up soon. (I have already used the 10% introductory).

Thanks for all the responses, I appreciate it. Especially little scots girl with her coupon. :D
I ended up ordering from Albany after all. I haven't received it yet, being that time of year. Fingers crossed I won't hate it but it only cost me 38 squiggles and 30p including P&P so if it does turn out to be pants I won't have wasted too much money.
I ordered this one in blue

I preferred the other ceiling one but it wasn't tall enough despite my ceilings being very low.

Foxxy what one did you get? Is it on their non ebay site Cumfy Pets?

No, it's not on their other site either.

This is a pic of it (without the ladders on)

That is lovely. Thanks for posting the pic.

I have a new problem it was delivered yesterday but they sent the wrong colour.
It clearly says brown on the box and blue on the sticky label they put on it.
The lady on the phone was very nice and said it was their mistake and they would collect and swap.

But she made me open the box in case the box was wrong. On doing that I saw the instruction diagram and according to that it is only 189.5 cms tall plus the screw bit which would make about 220cms max.
It is advertised as their tallest one at 96 inches which is 243.84 cms.

Which means it won't reach my ceiling and therefore won't be stable.

    I'm stuck:mad:

If it's a big square base it should be stable enough. They really do take some doing to tip it over.Talk to the lady though and tell her your concerns.
