What a lovely idea...- My hubby is in the army -and I count my blessings that he isn't on operation -so I have him here with me
- We have lost my beautiful sister and my mamma a few month ago -within a week of each other -so this xmas is being allowed to pass us by quietly.
- Thankfully hubbies job is safe -after he extended his service from 22 -27 years (I dread to think where we would be if he hadn't done this-all the job losses etc:eek: )
- Happy to say I have a great hubby -again something Im thankfull for -although I must make note to count my blessings more often
- Have been in hospital recently and face going back in again -but for now Im feeling "well" :T

We lost my Mum and OH's Dad within 2 weeks earlier in the year, we have had a quiet family Christmas planned but due to a gas explosion locally it looks like we will hve no gas for heating or cooking so we won't be having our traditional Christmas food this year.
Wishing everyone a happy and peaceful Christmas and I hope 2009 is a better year for those of us who have had a bad 2008.0 -

I saw that on the news nearlyrich, I hope you get your gas (and heating) on soon. As you've got electricity, why not have a non traditional Christmas lunch..............microwave M&S chicken tikka masala and pilau rice instead?;)
What a lovely thread Primrose. We've had a bereavement this year so your #2 is close to our hearts this Christmas.

primrose - lovely idea to do thread like this. We can all forget those less fortunate that us when we're so busy being 'festive'
Spare kind thoughts for the homeless and those really struggling in these worrying times.
Make these thoughts last all year, not just at christmas...........:AMary

My Christmas blessing would have to be my family - especially my beautiful wee girl and baby #2 due next year.
Much sympathy to anyone who will be alone (not by choice) this festive season and/or who cannot have (wanted) children. I realise I am very lucky indeed.0
