I do hundreds of competitions if not thousands over a year.

Do I win anything not very often.

I use to win more about 5 year ago before everyone got on old internet.

Just keep plodding and you will win something one day. It is just pure luck.

If you are any good at slogans they are the better comeptitions to enter then just the fill in the entry form. As less people do them.

I started entering competitions after seeing a woman on This morning who never had to work, had about 3 holidays a year and good knows how much in cash prizes all from entering compititions. I then started, i think she carried on winning coz I never got any:(

I think you will find that was pre-internet and also entering slogan and postal competitions.

As it is getting very hard to win anything and I have been doing competitions for about 4/5 years. Reason being to many people have access to the same information. So instead of say 4/5 year ago 500 people entering a competition it is more like 50,000.

Never won a car, never won a holiday. Actually never won anything big. Last time I won was back last year and it was meet the fockers dvd when it first came out. Wow.

So it is don't give up your day job. The first thing I won was a musical christmas tie that my husband still has and wears at christmas.

i have won bout 20 prizes over the last few years..like calley says, any comp with a slogan gives you a much better chance as they have to read every entrant.,whereas the type you are going for are first pulled out the hat.other good ones are local paper ones where there are far less entrants

Before the internet I used to win about 2-3 a year without slogans - no major wins though. Since the internet I have entered thousands upon thousands and also regularly use the loquax site.

Now, what have I won? An absolute ton of SPAM and nout else! But for some reason I will still keep trying!

Local paper ones are always good - my pre internet days I always won at least once a year if you keep entering.

Thanks to everyone. Want to keep on trying but can feel my enthusiasm running away, but as they all say i know you've got to be in it to win it. I only really tend to use Loquax is this ok? Or are there better places to look for comps? Any help would really be app  reciated.

I enter about 4 or 5 postal comps per day and about 15 internet ones per day. I didnt win anything for the first 6 months or so and then I won a CD and I've won a prize about once a month or more since then. Most of the things I win are DVds or cds. I've also won a family ticket to the funfair at Southend. The biggest things I've won were both last week. I won a weekend to Amsterdam at the Hilton and a Nintendo DS. Just keep plodding on, you will get a win in the end.

Also forgot to ask earlier how do they contact you when you win? Do they ring, text or email you, or do you just receive item in the post? Just curious, and secretley hoping that maybe Mr postman will put a win in my post box.tomo
