Ordered FIL whole series of Deadliest catch on DVD, cost a lot for 4 seasons and they have been on order since the 10th which i thought was plenty of time. however i recieved an email today stating that they had forgot to send out the last dvd and that they are sorry. this means it wont be here until after christmas and if i had know i would have went elsewhere and got him them. customer service girl was lovely and just as annoyed as i was stating that the item had been in stock and does not understand why it was not dispatched. will definatly be staying clear of them!!

We've had a similar problem with HMV, except no email to say the item wasn't available , I ended up chasing them and spoke to someone who sounded like she'd been at the sherry!! :mad:

I've bought quite a few things from them this Christmas and if i didn't need them, they'd all go back.
Like you, I'll steer clear in future.;)

We've had the same problem with HMV online this year. Ordered SIL's Christmas present 15th December with delivery in time for Christmas. Then on the 18th they sent an e-mail saying despatch was delayed but we would still get it in time for Christmas. When it didn't arrive yesterday we contacted HMV who told us that there had been further delays, but they hadn't bothered to e-mail us about them.

We're hoping it will arrive today, but if it doesn't we'll be swapping IOUs for present as her present that she'd ordered for us hasn't turned up either!

Have you tried asking them for some compensation, maybe a discount on a future order now that your "gift" ordered well in advance of Christmas won't arrive in time now causing you no end of inconvenience - ever so nicely mind - nothing to lose, dont ask dont get (advice I should follow myself, LOL)
