msn messenger help

Hi, this is my 1st time posting, but i read these forums most days, im having trouble with msn messenger. when i write a messege and then hit send the message dont go anywhere, i can send nudges and winks and even messages that ive wrote in handwriting, it just wont send typed messages.hope someone on here could help me.

there have been problems with the latest version on some peoples PC's (Martin Himself !! was one) which was fixed by going back to the old version

also download old version 7 from here

uninstall version 7.5 first from Add/Remove programs

then install

MSN Messenger 7 Build 777 - Final

from the abve site, you will still have all the functions of the latest version bar "Audio clips"
