    Anyways, the only benefit Electron offers over other cards is no fee on Ryanair. Trainline is irrelevant as other train cos (NXEC as mentioned above, and also First Great Western) charge no fee and offer the same prices. When booking travel you should always book with a credit card (assuming no surcharge) because of the extra insurance benefit.

    I think it's a good idea to open an account with Barclays or LTSB, as they offer VISA debit cards as standard, and not Electron.
  • Electron has one other benefit... it's not embossed so it's thinner to fit into your wallet :P
