I don't know if you have gone for the account - but HSBC have a sale on for the plus account. check their site out for details. if you decide to take the account - keep us updated on the account opening process.0

Thanks for the information regarding the HSBC Plus account sale. I shall stick with the Advance account for the time being I think - I don't really like the idea of being tied to the Plus account for 12 months. Although after reading many reviews on here, I might just switch to First Direct. Decisions!0
