Hi
i need to get some new carpets, a lot of the big chain places already have 50% sales.
Does anybody know or remember from last year if the sales in January are any better. Am i likely to get more than 50% off?
Any recomendations for places to shop.
Thanks for your help.

To be honest I think carpet sales are about the biggest con out. you can pretty much always get a sale price and it never seems to change all that much.0

i always go to carpet right to be honest. i just buy the carpet and get a friend to provide underlay and fit it.
i save an absolute fortune this way.
the sales seem to be genuine there as i went to get a carpet to match the stairs and it had gone up in price from what i paid for it.
sales on throughout the year there too.
i always get good quality as they last so much longer.0 -
To be safe, I would avoid the big chains, go for the independents, haggle hard and leave with your carpet.
Carpet-right is part of the Harveys group, who I would imagine are likely to be one of the first in the furnishings group to go down. They are not the most reliable of companies at the best of times.0 -
never had a problem with carpet right and always been reliable, do your homework.
pick a carpet independently, then compare the price of it elsewhere.0 -
carpet right have special days called mad wednesdays. they do really keen prices on those days.
ask your local store when their next one is.Get some gorm.0 -
have a look on the internet as there are some good prices offered online0

I see that www.urbaneliving.co.uk have a sale on natural carpets (they only do 100% wool and sisal, seagrasses, coir etc though). Also try www.mydeco.com as they also have a sale on with a number of retailers0

Just checked carpetright website who say there is 60% sale on now and if you check there website they give details of newspapers with extra 20% vouchers, plus you can apply for a further 10% voucher code from their website.
Hope this helps.0 -
