Before the current IE scare i have been been having problems, it kept dying and i had to re-start again, maybe once an hour or more. Since i changed to Firefox i've had no problems, last night i had a go again on IE within an hour it went off again.
I'm sticking with Firefox, just got to change the instant messenger over nowLiverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

I do know where you & Sailorsam are coming from, but i just can't get used to Firefox TBH.
I didn't have any problems at all with Internet Explorer before and prefer the IE set up. I suppose, it's just a matter of what i'm used to.
Saying that though, if i do encounter problems with IE or there's another "Security flaw", i will consider swapping over to Firefox permanently.0 -
IE is renowned for being less secure than Firefox. It's simply a matter of time before there's another flaw with it.
There's loads of cool things Firefox offers e.g. add-ons, see - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/browse/type:1/cat:all?sort=popular
Using Adblock Plus and not being bothered my ton's of ads on websites is a welcome addition.
You could use something like https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1419?application=firefox&id=1419E Tab - an extension from Taiwan, features: Embedding Internet Explorer in tabs of Mozilla/Firefox...0 -

All browsers have vulnerabilities.

All browsers suffer security flaws. IE is not unique in that, and browser choice is a matter of preference as much as anything. I've been using Firefox and Opera for about 5 years now but I prefer IE7 as my default over both of them. For browsing in general I find compatibility issues with firefox etc outweighs the principle of compliance and I'm happy using IE7 since only thing I'd "need" is just the tabbed browsing. As for security, my personal experience has been I've never had any compromise or infection through IE7 since I used it and in the last few years the only virus infection I got was while using Firefox. I think there's far too much scaremongering over IE and any MS product for that matter."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Misinformation. The flaws in FF which prompted the release of 3.0.5 were far more serious than anything in IE7 as three of them merely required normal browsing in order to end up with someone being able to run something on your computer.
All browsers have vulnerabilities.
Same exists for IE.
I wasn't talking about the most recent issue. I was talking in general. Are you telling me IE has had less flaws then Firefox? No...0 -
There's an old saying..
