Mobile broadband contract

Hi
I temporarily rented a flat with no phone line installed so set up mobile broadband (dongle) with 3 mobile. The download speed was terrible but was enough to let me check emails and download the odd tune. I signed up for an 18 month contract (currently about 5 months in) but now want to get out of it. The download speed is nothing like what I was quoted for my postcode, the most I can download is a song from itunes and sometimes that can take 10 minutes. I have to go to a friends house to borrow their broadband if I want to download anything such as anti-virus updates etc. Is there anyway I can get out of the contract based on poor service. I have done the customer service (about as helpful as their download speeds) recommendations - tried the mobile broadband in two other locations, tried the dongle in someone else's computer etc. All rubbish. What happens if I complain and then cancel my direct debit?

Good luck. I think you're stuck with it.0

Unfortunately, Conor is correct - you have been stung and will continue to be.
Complain to Three anyway and ensure you get a reference number and contact for your complaint, then report them to Consumer Direct.
The more people who complain about them - the higher the chance of something being done about this carp provider who are all advertising hype and no quality.
Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

I found that "3" mobile broadband worked better when I changed the address of the DNS servers to the OpenDNS ones.0
