No trading Christmas day, Boxing day, New Years day ... and, of course, the weekends.
  • I believe if you buy a fund online the actual trade is carried out at the next pricing point, usually 12.00 each working day. So if you buy tomorrow (Wed 24th) after midday, pay online by debit card, I guess your money is deducted immediately but the purchase will only be completed at midday on Monday 29th.

If you buy via Hargreaves Lansdowne they will only trade at that day's pricing point if you place the order before 8 a.m. - i.e. after the UK Exchange has opened. Elsewhere may be better and if you buy direct you can sometimes buy just minutes before the pricing point.
  • So if I bought tonight it will be processed tomorrow? Its no biggie if its not, just wondering :)
