-$2.1bn Loss made by Goldman Sachs in the past three months.

+$2.6bn Bonuses being paid to Goldman Sachs staff anyway.

if any of this is true, I am disgusted, but in the same breath, not surprised.

inbred or downright immoral bankers, playing games with the countries money, getting themselves rich in the process.

anything less and we'd be addressing the rich-poor divide.

sack them all. I'd mess up the economy for half the price.

I take everyone on here would be quite happy to forego their contractual bonus then simply if their employer underperformed?

my employer won't pay me a bonus if we (as a Company) underperform.

Although my privately owned Company won't be bailed out if it makes bad investments, let alone be bailed out with my own money!

I think the general consensus is that you shouldn't be rewarded for messing up.

it really doesn't set a good example.

Really? You've obviously forgotten an important part of electoral law.

I don't think any of the banks mentioned got a bail out from the UK govt. The payments were a cash flow loan which are repayable. If the share holders don't like it then they can use their shares at the next agm to do something about it!
