Quick advice needed re: Nigerian Scammer

Just sold an item, and received a fake Paypal email with the funds apparently paid but nothing is actually in my Paypal account. The fake email has a Nigerian address.
I've alerted eBay as it's obviously a scam - my question is: Can I file a NPB alert after the user has been NARU'd? (I predict eBay will do this). Or do I need to file it before the user gets banned?

I've never had this happen, but I'd file it NOW!I only exist in my own mind - if you can see, hear or read me, you are a product of my imagination.0

Thanks .. I've just checked the terms and I cannot file an NPB for 7 days, except if the buyer is no longer a registered user (so I have to wait for ebay to ban them - if they actually bother to), in which case I can file an NPB immediately.
I can also file an NPB immediately if the buyer's location is not on the list of countries that I ship to. Unfortunately the buyer's account is a UK one with a UK address, so I don't think this will work.
I'll just have to hope that eBay ban the user... fingers crossed.0 -
I would have thought that the spoof Paypal e-mail proves the intention not to pay - surely Ebay will see it like that?

Indeed, I'll forward them a copy of the fake email if necessary

But you never know with eBay... I have zero faith in them but I'll give them a chance!0 -
You'll probably get some automated nonsense of a reply. Dont hold out too much hope on ebay NARU'ing them either, unfortunately it looks like youll need to wait a week to file then another few days before you get the fees. Hope it wasnt too much0

Paid around £12 in listing fees (featured). I won't get this back unless I relist the item and it sells the second time around

Final value fees ~£13 which I'll be able to get back hopefully.0
