Techwood DVD Recorder not working

Hi,

I bought a DVD Recorder and after a month all it says on the LCD front panel is "preparing".
It does this for hours then the time comes on. I think great it might work. It then says "Preparing" again.

It doesnt let me do anything. Turn it off, press play, eject. Nothing

Can some1 plz help

You don't mention the model of the device for other members to familiarize with !!

And after only a month, return it for a replacement/repair.

They are entiltled to effect a repair rather than replace at this point.

After a Google search, it seems this make is fussy on the media. Are you using the correct DVD's for your device, perhaps you have a cheap make, dual layer or the wrong +/- combination.

The model is Techwood AEDVDRS7

I bought it on eBay with a 1 month warranty. It said it was refurbished but fully working as new. I've sent him messages for advice but nothing?

I used a Samsung DVD-R

Give a cd cleaning disk a shot in your machine. Can't hurt to try.
