It's not about shopping on Christmas Eve, it's about trying to grab a bargain when times are hard.

And why would SD not have a sale before Christmas? Almost every other place has

Well I am just glad I didn't stay in and wait for the sale to "get going" - what a joke! I'll pop along on Boxing Day because my local one is listed but after this I'm not holding my breath for any good bargains
 Think happy & you'll be happy

  • This type of publicity only works a couple of times because people get fed up. I never go to Matalan 75% off sale from experience there is never anything in it. Doubt I will go near Superdrug again. Used to buy lots from them but haven't been in for a while. Staff in my local store are not very pleasant.

    Two words:
    Publicity Stunt.
  • I know they say no publicity is bad publicity but I for one will not being going near Superdrug again ..... waste of time
Busy mum of 3, so if my posts don't make sense or ask a silly question be patient:rotfl:
  • I havent logged into MSE for a while now so I apologise to everyone, and hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!

There's no such thing as bad publicity, and I will be one of the ones in superdrug on boxing day after hearing of this sale from MSE... it is a shame that this is how things have happened, I highly doubt a website of this magnitude is so inept as to hold an online sale. Without tempting fate but how many times have you seen play.com saying "sorry" hmmm, I never have. With a reputation to lose I would have thought Superdrug would be on top of things.

If this was a publicity stunt then it has backfired on them because I will not be going near Superdrug again. Do they think we have got nothing better to do on Christmas Eve:mad: I'm sure I can find something better to do on Boxing Day than go to Superdrug:rolleyes:
  • I managed to get on the sale site at about 1pm this afternoon.....didn't have a great deal of stuff but there was some good deals on.....spent about £20, 10% discount for first order with them and cashback from quidco so it wasn't too bad.

Hope you all have a fab xmas and new year and 2009 brings you savings and laughter xxx
No trees were damaged in the posting of this message but a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.
