No, I know they can't. It was to be taken with a hint of sarcasm. Whilst the 16yo is entitled to his/her opinions, I feel they are a little judgemental for someone who obviously doesn't know the financial pressures of modern life outside the parental home, and can't appreciate that credit is a part of life, and that sometimes unforeseen things happen which impact on people's ability to pay. Likewise, institutions can and do make errors which lead to charges that are not the fault of the account holder. I don't think they are in a position to pass judgement on people who find themselves in such situations.0
