If you have enough of an NI history, then Job Seekers Allowance (Contribution Based).

If not, then JSA (Income Based).

Mortgage assistance currently has a waiting period of 39 weeks before you get help with the interest payments - but from next month that drops to 13 weeks. As of yet, no information as to whether claims already being processed (or in the waiting period) will be reduced to 13 weeks or not.

Unfortunately, you dont qualify for any redundancy payment, perhaps you knew that already. You have to be in a job for two years for that

Are you aware of the insurances you hold? Do you have redundancy cover?
    • My husband lost his job in October. I understand the time period qualification but are there also any other disqualifying criteria such as limits on amounts of savings held?

means tested benefits get reduced if you have more than £6k in savings, and you're not entitled to anything if you have more than £16k

For which benefit? What are you claiming at present, and what other household income/ capital do you have?
      Gone ... or have I?
