Sorry if this is the wrong place to put this.
With the current credit crunch, people loosing jobs and having the cost of living going up what are the BBC going to do about the money they steal from us each year to pay rude so called stars millions of pounds a year.
The BBC should lower the fee we pay to watch our telly, even introduce a way to stop us from watching their shows in this day of modern tech, for example with Sky / Virgin you can only watch certain channels if you subscribe.
If the BBC cut what they spend on mostly crap shows like bargain hunt, buy it sell it bank it etc then i am sure we would see a reduction in what we have to pay in an out of date and unfair license.
With the cost of bills going up do we want to see murder etc in Eastenders, shows that are rigged, so called stars being paid millions a year making rude calls to people, listen to a radio presenter who is paid £200000 a year talking absolut s**t first thing in the morning?
If there is enough preasure and people behind it we can get rid of this unfair, out of date and corrupt business.
If you fail to pay your license and get a criminal record you could be refused a job, a visa to travel or enter a country, insurance etc just because you haven't paid the BBC to watch CH4,ITV,The History channel etc etc.
It is meant to be a broadcaster for the people free from political meddling but is it?
When you can't pay your gas electric, rent or mortgage will you first turn and think, 'oh no i can't pay the TV license'?

I like every feels that the TV lincence isnt great value for money. But i wouldnt go this far!! You sound so annoyed about i think you should get some egg nog down your throat.
Points you mention makes me laugh. You can cancel you tv lincence. But then you cant have TV, which i dont want to do, however if i had to to pay gas electric like you say then i will cancel it, i would probally cancel sky first tbh.0
