Can anyone help with this trivial but annoying feature ? Every time I open Windows Mail (on Vista Home Premium) I get the following message* in a box.
I then have to click on YES each time and am then able to Receive and Send emails as normal. If I click on NO, obviously no service is obtained. I have Googled this and there are some really complicated solutions which are far too technical for me. Microsoft help says there are no forums on it, but Google comes up with a host of them. I just wondered if some good MSE members might have a simple remedy.

Try checking the published POP and SMTP server names that are recommended by your ISP.
It's possible that they have changed the names of their mail servers, so that the Common Name presented in their SSL certificate no longer matches what you have in your Windows Mail account settings.0 -
Thanks, but I have already checked that. This is a problem which doesn't seem to want to go away. It certainly is not my ISP as I've recently changed from Primus to O2 (great) and had this problem with both.Try checking the published POP and SMTP server names that are recommended by your ISP.
