We'll go for £2 a day (there's two of us) starting on 1 January and opening on 15 December.
That's 349 days so £700 :TWe may not have it all together, but together we have it all

I'm in too. I plan to put £1 a day into my sealed tin bank (Poundland) and also the £20 per month I currently save in a menage in work. Last year, I also added any money I saved at Tesco by using coupons and had over £400 by the time I opened the bank. I really didn't miss this money at all.0

I have one of those large old whisky bottles that I save 1p, 2p and 5ps in - any larger and it gets robbed by my kids. I'm going to get one of those sealed tins and start on 1st Jan with at least 50p per day - hopefully I will be able to manage a bit more. All I have to do is hide the tin opener!!0

I'm going to do this too. I'm going to do a £1 a day for xmas. I will also put in dinner money when its the school holidays as that sets us back £18.50 a week, so i'm sure it will mount up.
We also have a large tub we put anything from 1ps to £2 coins in for our holiday spending money. This isnt touched until a week before we go.0 -
Just put my 1st £1.00 in the pot with some £2.00 coins :TI Love My Computer Because My Friends Live In It0

I started doing this a few years ago, I started with £75 per month (3 kids) and recently upped it to £125 per month and this give me £200 towards their birthdyay - party etc.
I also started another pot (actually they are web savers) and I save £150 for the cars, this enables me to pay the car ins up front saving about £60 per year on two cars.£2.00 Savers Club = £34.00 So Far
+ however may £2 coins I have saved in my Terramundi since 2000.
Terramundi weighs 8lb 5oz0
