    Try Gap in the sale. They do boys sizes that are quite long in the leg so if he's slim on the waist may be OK.

    You may be lucky and get them for about £10 in the sale.
    Do not allow the risk of failure to stop you trying!

    Very interesting thread - I have a 12 year old son and I'm just beginning to notice that jeans for his age and size are a bit of a rarity. He's skinny and quite tall and I found some really nice ones for him in Peacocks.
