Warning! Avoid Shopto.net

Having placed an order with shopto.net on wednesday
they promised me the goods for Saturday delivery

The order was for xmas gifts for my 2 sons to a cost of 500.00

I have now finally been told that i will not get the delivery as all the items ordered are not in stock, even though online it stated in stock.

This means now i have to wait for my refund which will be after christmas, so i am now £500 down and my kids will not be getting the gifts they wanted.

The customer service was terrible and they did not help or care in any way what so ever...
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU TO AND THANKS FOR SPOILING CHRISTMAS FOR MY KIDS

Avoid this company by all means... humbugs

  • So they took your money before sending the goods then.
  • I placed my first order with them at the weekend. It arrived by 1st class recorded delivery today, so I am very pleased, even more so now!

I've never had any problems with them. It is worth remembering that this time of year items can sell out before the website has had a chance to update the page, especially with more popular items, so they cannot really be blamed for the discrepancy between site and actual stock.

You can blame yourself to a degree for leaving ordering so late, gave you no room for manouever in the event of problems and you cut it quite fine for Xmas delivery anyway. Lesson learned...don't leave it until the last minute!

They should not have took the money until they had the stock.

The op hasn't actually confirmed if this has happened (he should check his account page and see), I know that in my experience they do not charge until the stock is dispatched.

  • when i ordered the the i paid £20 Guaranteed delivery by Saturday
which when i called them to confirm on Friday as the money left my account, they confirmed the stock was being despatched from their warehouse
and the goods would be with me on Saturday..

I know i left it late but when i am told that the items are in stock and when i pay online i will receive them then i put my trust in them.

Does'nt everyone hold out for bargains on the net, at the end of the day it should be the same as buying from a shop and i could understand if the carriers are to blame

now i have had to borrow money i rush around town

not good enough and have to wait for money back
